11 Prayerful Hopes for 2011
I’ve decided that it’s time to look forward. One can get spent trying to gather graciously the many gifts, memories and achievements of the year that passed. Certainly I bid goodbye to 2010 with much thankfulness for blessing after blessing after blessing; but I cannot get myself to flip through my journals and my planner (as usually might) to figure out the specifics that have formed this gratitude. Ack. No need to justify the fun I’ve had, trace the growth I’ve experienced, or re-live the enchanting moments. It’s time to look forward!
Here are T’s 11 Prayerful Hopes for 2011:
For my friends, the joy of re-discovering beautiful things right under your noses.
For my church, profound and active Love.
For my family, good health and time together.
For my Kuya, blessings as he begins a family of his own, a great first year of marriage.
For my pocket, less shopping, more giving (or at least tip the scales so that the giving tremendously outweighs the personal shopping).
For my creativity, re-creation that engages.
For my frame of mind, my continued cross-training of passions, and time spent away from the too familiar (this summer, geographically?).
For my voice, a precious flow of words put to paper (literally or digitally), poetry (written in words or in dance), essays (written in words or in photographs and illustrations), an audience.
For my mind, the resolve to dissect only the things that matter, and to forcefully chuck out the things that do not, without residuum.
For my heart, openness and steadfastness.
For my spirit, a renewal by Grace and Love, an empowerment by Joy, an abundance of Faith.
Hopefully yours,
T

A resounding “DITTO.” haha, well, that just isn’t fair, but many of these resonate with me. Beautiful penned…er…typed.
Love.
